The Marian Antiphons:
There are four antiphons that are chanted in honor of Our Blessed Mother throughout the year. These antiphons are assigned to be sung at the end of the Church’s night prayer each day, but they may also be sung at other times. The chants are beautiful and the texts invoke the intercession of Our Blessed Mother.
Here at Saint Mary’s we have been using the Marian antiphons as a way to honor Our Lady and ask for her powerful prayers. The current Marian antiphon is the Ave Regina Caelorum.
